Objective 2a: Family Quality of Life
The Family Level - T his study investigated quality of life in parents of children with severe developmental disabilities. Family quality of life was assessed using two measures designed specifically for families in which one or more members had a severe developmental disability.
This study involved in depth interviews of about 70 families about various aspects of their perceived family quality of life. The data helped us to understand the differences in the life experiences of these families, and will have implications for services to meet the unique needs of families of children with severe developmental disabilities.
